RESEARCH OUTPUT:
The founding of the Centre gave a tremendous boost to the teaching, research and development of Spanish language in India. This is the first centre in the country which has introduced research programme of studies in Spanish leading to award of the M.Phil. and Ph.D. degree. Over the last forty years the Centre has made a significant contribution in many areas of research and has awarded many Ph.D. and M.Phil. on subjects related to Spanish language, linguistics, translation, society, art & culture of Hispanic world. Faculty members have undertaken several research projects and have been actively involved in the development of language in India. To this end many books have been published by them in India and abroad and numerous research articles have been published on Hispanic studies in important national and international journals.
