The Centre's alumni have made significant contribution in areas of research and have published various books and numerous research articles on Hispanic studies in important national and international journals. Scholars who have completed their doctoral studies in Spanish & Latin American Studies are mainly in the academic profession and have held/hold senior positions at Indian universities. Some of them are located in institutions such as Jawaharlal Nehru University, University of Delhi (DU), Central Institute of English and Foreign Language (CIEFL) now renamed as English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi, Jamia Milia Islamia University (JMI), New Delhi, Indra Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), and at Doon University, Dehradun. Several students have gone abroad on scholarships to study at foreign universities such as USA, Spain, Mexico and Portugal. Many of these students have been recipients of prestigious scholarships/fellowships and awards.
In brief, today our alumni are placed all over India in various universities, institutes and companies as well as in the USA and Europe. Qualified language experts, interpreters and translators from the Centre are employed in Central Ministries of the Government of India. Our alumni are working/worked in Public and Private enterprises, several embassies, MNCs and some of them have set up their own business and become successful entrepreneurs. Many leading companies are recruiting our students.
